Ripple Out
The six dimensions of Wela
Everything we do, with individuals and through our collaborations, is rooted in Wela, the Old English word behind wealth. Today wealth mostly means money, a single measuring stick for the success of a life or a career, but wela once carried much more weight. We use it to mean wealth across six dimensions, held in balance for a full life.

Behind Ripple Out
I'm Sam Tate, founder of Ripple Out.
After two decades in financial services, I developed The Conscious Currency® to help people understand their financial lives, not just manage them. For some people, money was taking up too much space in their minds, and for others it had no place at all, and the work was about helping them find the right place for it.
But the more conversations about money I had, the more they turned into conversations about life. Ripple Out grew from my own search for balance, and from helping other people find theirs. It’s built around the idea of Wela, which looks at the whole of a life: body, mind, connection, time and meaning as well as money. The Conscious Currency is now one part of that bigger system.
Today I coach, speak and write about all of this, working with individuals one to one and with groups and businesses.
